SEOUL - Serbia and South Korea are opening a new chapter in their economic and trade cooperation, one of the most important steps in that direction being the participation of Serbian companies in the June 23-25 Korea Import Fair 2026 in Seoul, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) said.
With support from the PKS, eleven Serbian companies from the food industry, beverages, metal processing and consumer goods sectors will showcase their products and export potential at the Serbia booth at the fair.
The companies include Aleva, Damar Confit, Sirogojno Company, Destilerija Gen, Rakija Micic, Serbica, Superior, Promont Group, Metalac, Dogma Brewery Serbia and Granola.
PKS representative Jovana Majstorovic said on Tuesday the appearance of Serbian companies at the fair was an important step in presenting the country's export potential to the South Korean market.
"During the fair, the companies will hold many business meetings with potential partners from Korea and other Asian countries with the aim of making new export deals and strengthening their presence on the Asian market," she said.
Majstorovic said that, as early as on the first day of the fair, Serbian products - alcoholic beverages, food products and pet food in particular - had attracted high interest among visitors and professional customers.
She noted that a Serbia-South Korea agreement on a comprehensive economic partnership, due to take effect by the end of the year, represented an additional impetus to development of bilateral economic relations.
