BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade Tomislav Momirovic said on Thursday the volume of Serbia-UK bilateral trade in 2022 totalled 788.3 mln euros and was up by about 27 pct y-o-y.

Momirovic said this after a meeting with the UK's Trade Commissioner for Europe Chris Barton.

"Serbia has a 125 mln euro surplus in goods trade with the UK. Serbian exports amounted to 456 mln euros and last year we managed to achieve a 28 pct growth of exports. We have seen a major increase in trade cooperation between the two countries in the past two years, and I also took today's meeting as an opportunity to call on British companies to keep investing in Serbia," Momirovic said.

Momirovic said that, alongside the US and Germany, the UK had been one of Serbia's most significant services trade partners for years now.

"The total services turnover in 2022 amounted to 1.3 bln euros, which is a 21 pct increase relative to 2021. Revenues from services exports in the trade with the UK amounted to 883 mln euros and Serbia has a 422 mln euro surplus. It is a second consecutive year in which we registered turnover of over 1 bln euros," Momirovic noted.
