Serbia, North Macedonia sign memorandum to build Nis-Skopje HSR line

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic and his North Macedonian counterpart Blagoje Bocvarski signed on Friday in Belgrade a memorandum on the construction of a high-speed rail line between Nis and Skopje, for which the two countries will jointly request EU funds.

Earlier, Vesic said an existing rail line would be modernised and electrified to allow for speeds up to 120 kph.
