BELGRADE - Air Serbia carried 298,322 passengers in November, which was a 39 pct increase compared to the same month in 2022 and a 60 pct increase compared to the previous record-breaking year of 2019, the airline said in a statement.
"The Serbian national airline operated 3,560 flights from the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, the Nis Constantine the Great airport and the Morava Airport near Kraljevo, which represents a 40 pct increase compared to November of the previous year and a 54 pct increase compared to the pre-pandemic year of 2019," the statement said.
"We are approaching the number of four million passengers carried this year. Thank you for flying with us and entrusting us with your confidence every day. We strive to provide you with an even greater choice when travelling and to make it easier for you to quickly and easily reach your desired destinations. From 2013 to today, over 26 mln passengers have been on our flights, and our next goal is 30 mln passengers," said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.
"In November, which marked the seventeenth consecutive record month for Air Serbia, the most popular destinations in the region were Podgorica and Tivat, in Western Europe Zurich, Paris, Rome, and Milan, while in the broader Euro-Mediterranean zone, the most popular services were to Istanbul, Athens, and Barcelona," the statement also said.
