Begovic: Innovation to be one of main themes of EXPO 2027

BELGRADE - Serbia's Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic said on Wednesday innovation would be one of the main themes of EXPO 2027, to be hosted by Serbia.

Speaking to Tanjug, Begovic said her ministry was keeping up with plans to host the major global event.

"Innovation will definitely be one of the themes of EXPO itself and a theme through which we, as Serbia, will showcase what we are doing in science, artificial intelligence and engineering. We really want to make EXPO an image of the future - the future of Serbia and the future at global level," she said.

Begovic said demanding preparatory works for infrastructure construction had already begun.
