BELGRADE – A total 2,782 construction permits were issued in Serbia in November 2022, which was a 16.6 pct decline relative to the same month of 2021.
According to figures released by the national statistical office RZS, 84.3 pct of the total permits was issued for buildings, while other structures made up the remaining 15.7 pct.
When it comes to permits for buildings alone, 83.2 pct were issued for residential buildings and 16.8 pct for non-residential buildings, with permits for pipelines and communications and power lines accounting for the majority (74.5 pct) of other structures, the RZS said.
The highest construction activity is expected in the Belgrade district (over one third of the planned value of new structures), which is followed by the South Backa district (10.2 pct), the Srem district (6.8 pct) and the Ras District (6.2 pct).
