Vucic: We want to buy something special for our army - a weapon better than HIMARS

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Friday that, besides developing its Oganj modular and digitalised missile launcher, Serbia would acquire the only weapon that is superior to the US-made HIMARS missile launcher system.

"Besides what we are doing on our own - the modular, digitalised Oganjs - we also want to buy something special, the only weapon of that type that is more powerful than the HIMARS, but we will inform you of that soon," Vucic told reporters during a tour of a display of Serbian Armed Forces arms and equipment at the Flag 2024 show at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlovic Military Airport in Batajnica near Belgrade.

Vucic also said there was no sphere in Serbia that had seen greater progress in the past decade than the Serbian Armed Forces due to major investments in arms and substantial salary increases for military personnel.
