BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic announced on Wednesday he would within 15 days put forward the candidates for the ministerial posts vacated by former minister of construction, transport and infrastructure Goran Vesic and former minister of internal and external trade Tomislav Momirovic, who both resigned in the wake of the November 1 railway station accident in Novi Sad.
Vucevic said the candidates would be put forward to the Serbian parliament and elected at a session to be called by Speaker Ana Brnabic.
"It will be done, it is no problem at all. The most important thing for the citizens is that the ministries are working, the state must keep working. We, as citizens, as a nation and as a people, we must move on," Vucevic told Prva TV, declining to name the candidates for the ministerial posts.
He added that he had put Minister for Public Investments Darko Glisic and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic in charge of the two ministries as "caretakers" until the election of new ministers.
