Vucevic, Patriarch Porfirije visit Dodik in hospital

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic and Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church on Tuesday visited Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, who is recovering in a Belgrade hospital following successful surgery.

"Together with his Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, I visited Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, who is recovering after a surgery that has gone well. I wish him a speedy recovery and that we may continue to work further to the benefit of the citizens of our Serbia and Srpska," Vucevic wrote in an Instagram post.

Earlier in the day, Medigroup General Hospital Director Slavko Matic told Republika Srpska's SRNA news agency Dodik was in stable condition and that the post-surgery phase was proceeding as expected, with the patient's recovery being "monitored continuously."

Dodik underwent a complicated but successful stomach and esophagus surgery at the hospital on Monday.
