Dragan Sutanovac to be new Serbian ambassador to US

BELGRADE - Council for Strategic Policy President Dragan Sutanovac, a former Serbian defence minister, will be Serbia's new ambassador to Washington, Tanjug learns.

The Serbian government approved Sutanovac's nomination on Thursday.

Sutanovac, who is the founder of the CfSP, has served two terms as defence minister.

Serbian FM Marko Djuric has said earlier Belgrade would nominate a new ambassador to Washington before the January 20 inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.

Sutanovac is to succeed Djuric, who was Serbia's ambassador to the US between December 2020 and April 2024.
