ZAJECAR - Serbia's caretaker PM Milos Vucevic said on Monday a recent anti-corruption clampdown in Nis showed that "no one is protected."
Responding to questions from reporters during a visit to Zajecar, eastern Serbia, he said it remained to be seen whether 13 people recently arrested in Nis would be qualified by prosecutors as an organised crime group or as smaller groups or individuals suspected of criminal offences.
"Undeniably, the clampdown in Nis was a large one - I do not remember us having ever had one on such a scale - and you can see that no one is protected. As a party leader, I do not feel comfortable with the fact that (former Nis mayor) Dragana Sotirovska is a (Serbian Progressive) party presidency member, that Goran Vesic is a party presidency member, that Jelena Tanaskovic is a party presidency member," Vucevic said.
