Vucevic meets with Cyprus National Guard chief

ABU DHABI - Serbian Defence Minister Milos Vucevic met with the chief of Cyprus's National Guard Lt-Gen Demokritos Zervakis at the IDEX 2023 international arms fair in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

Vucevic thanked Cyprus for supporting Serbia's territorial integrity and EU integrations.

They agreed that bilateral defence cooperation is very good and developed and that there is room to advance it further, the Serbian Ministry of Defence said in a statement.

They also reviewed opportunities for further advancement of cooperation in the military economy and military technology.

Zervakis said military-to-military cooperation with the Serbian Armed Forces was among the priorities of the National Guard and noted a commitment to carrying out activities defined in a bilateral plan on military cooperation, recently signed in Nicosia.
