Vucevic meets with Egypt's army chief of staff, military production minister

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Defence Minister Milos Vucevic held separate meetings with the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lt-Gen Osama Askar and the country's Minister for Military Production Mohamed Mustafa at the IDEX 2023 arms fair in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

During the meetings, the officials confirmed that bilateral defence cooperation was very good and that there was space to advance it further.

They noted that cooperation in the domains of military economy and military technology was an especially developed segment and that the cooperation was reviewed and annual plans coordinated by a Serbia-Egypt military committee, due to meet in Cairo this year.

After a discussion with Vucevic that addressed military-to-military cooperation, Askar and an Egyptian delegation visited a Serbian Ministry of Defence-Yugoimport SDPR booth at the fair.

At the meeting with Vucevic, Mustafa confirmed Egypt's commitment to further advancement of cooperation in the military economy and military technology in the period to come, the statement said.
