Macut receives Egyptian minister of tourism and antiquities

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Djuro Macut met with Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy in Belgrade on Tuesday to discuss strengthening of bilateral relations, with special emphasis on tourism, the economy and culture.

Serbia and Egypt cherish a long history of friendship, mutual trust and respect, Macut said, highlighting numerous opportunities for advancement of cooperation in tourism through mutual promotion of tourism potential and cultural and historical heritage, joint projects in tourism, participation in tourism fairs and facilitation of visa regimes.

He said science and innovation and protection of cultural heritage were fields where he saw a special perspective for development of the partnership with Egypt.

Fathy said Serbia and Egypt stood ready to work together on building a long-term and stable partnership that would contribute to prosperity of both nations.
