Vucic, Zambian FM discuss bilateral cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Zambian FM Mulambo Haimbe in Belgrade on Thursday to discuss deepening the cooperation between the two countries.

"A cordial meeting with Minister Haimbe, with whom I reviewed geopolitical developments and discussed specific steps towards deepening of political, economic and cultural cooperation between Serbia and Zambia. Serbia identifies an enormous potential in partnerships with African countries and is committed to building new and strengthening existing bridges of friendship and mutual respect. We especially highlighted the significance of mutual support in international institutions, where Serbia and Zambia share the principles of respect for international law, sovereignty and territorial integrity of states," Vucic wrote on Instagram.

He noted that he was grateful to Zambia for its principled positions and its support for Serbia on the international scene.

"I am confident that today's meeting will help strengthen our bilateral cooperation further and that, through joint forces, we will be working on advancement of relations in infrastructure, energy, education, agriculture and health care," Vucic posted.
