Serbia's newly-elected public prosecutors take oath of office in parliament

BELGRADE - A group of newly-elected public prosecutors took the oath of office on Thursday before Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic, Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac and the president and the members of the High Prosecutorial Council.

The ceremony was held in the parliament building.

Congratulating the prosecutors, Dolovac wished them much success in their future work, noting that they were assuming a key role in Serbia's judicial system.

"Your future work will represent an important step in protecting the society and public interest. In times when we constantly face new forms of crime and a battle between good and evil, your professional, efficient, responsible and lawful work will be decisive," Dolovac said.

"Safeguard justice, because when good speaks and acts, there is no space for evil," she told the prosecutors.
