Vucic to Lajcak: Community of Municipalities precondition for normalisation

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received the EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak on Monday to discuss an EU proposal for solving the Kosovo-Metohija issue, establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities and other necessary steps aimed at normalisation of the relations between Serbs and Albanians.

Vucic noted that Serbia was working responsibly and approached with commitment the discussions aimed at achieving compromise and sustainable solutions necessary for normal life and a better future for all citizens, but with clearly stated restrictions.

At the meeting, Vucic reiterated that establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities was a precondition for normalisation of relations as well as for the security and protection of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, the presidential press office said in a statement.
