BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Liberian FM Sara Beysolow Nyanti in Belgrade on Wednesday to discuss deepening of bilateral cooperation, strengthening of economic relations, as well as launching joint projects in agriculture, infrastructure and information technologies.
"An excellent discussion with the FM of the Republic of Liberia about deepening the bilateral cooperation, strengthening the economic relations, as well as current affairs in the world and in our region. Our countries are connected by years-long friendship dating back from as early as the era of the Non-Aligned Movement and confirmed through 65 years of diplomatic ties," Vucic posted on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile.
He added that the meeting had addressed economic cooperation and trade as well as launching joint projects in agriculture, infrastructure and information technologies, including experience-sharing in eGovernment and digital transformation.
Vucic noted that Serbia supported Africa on the issue of getting a permanent seat in the UN Security Council as it wanted Africa's voice, too, to be heard in the top UN body.
He added that he had informed the Liberian FM of the most significant developments in Kosovo-Metohija.
"I noted that Serbia remains committed to dialogue and preservation of peace and security for our people," he posted.
Vucic told Nyanti he looked forward to Liberia's participation in EXPO 2027 Belgrade and to further strengthening of ties to the benefit of citizens.
