BELGRADE - Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Gen Milan Mojsilovic met on Friday with the new KFOR commander, Turkish general major Ozkan Ulutas, who recently took over from Italian general major Enrico Barduani.

The parties discussed the current security situation in Kosovo-Metohija and activities that were underway with the aim of monitoring the situation on the ground and preserving peace and stability in the territory of the province, the Serbian MoD said in a statement.

Mojsilovic voiced concern over continued unilateral moves by the provisional institutions in Pristina and illegal arming of the so-called "Kosovo Security Force" before the eyes of KFOR troops, and noted that the activities were unsettling the Serb population and threatening its security and normal life.

He once again protested the latest arming of the so-called "Kosovo Security Force" with Turkish Skydagger RTF 15 UAVs and noted that such moves were not only not contributing to peace and security in the territory of Kosovo-Metohija but also threatening stability of the entire region.

Congratulating Ulutas on his re-appointment as KFOR commander, Mojsilovic said he expected KFOR as the only legitimate armed formation in the territory of the province to carry out its mandate under UNSCR 1244 in a strict, full and unbiased manner, the statement said.
