Vucic meets with Uzbekistan's Mirziyoyev in Tashkent

TASHKENT - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Kuksaroy state residence in Tashkent on Tuesday.

Earlier, Vucic was welcomed with military honours, a guard of honour and the national anthems of the two countries.

The meeting will be followed by a session of Serbian and Uzbek delegations and the signing of several bilateral agreements.

The Serbian delegation accompanying Vucic also includes Culture Minister Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Internal and External Trade Jagoda Lazarevic, Minister without portfolio for international economic cooperation Nenad Popovic and the head of the Office for IT and eGovernment Mihailo Jovanovic.

Earlier in the day, Vucic laid a wreath at the Independence Monument in Tashkent's New Uzbekistan Park.
