BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received the credentials of new Ghanaian Ambassador to Belgrade Kwesi Ahwoi on Monday, noting that Serbia saw Ghana as an important and dependable partner in Western Africa.
"Serbia and Ghana cherish ties based on respect and solidarity, and we are proud of the traditionally friendly ties and cooperation between our countries, which are also connected by the common values we shared in the Non-Aligned Movement," Vucic posted on Instagram.
He noted that there was major potential for advancement of cooperation in the economy, trade, agriculture, education and exchange of knowledge and technology.
"I am confident that investing in people and know-how is the best path to long-term partnership and joint development. I am pleased that political dialogue between Serbia and Ghana has been on an upward trajectory in recent years, which creates conditions for forging mutual ties and understanding on all issues of importance at bilateral and multilateral level," Vucic added.
Wishing the Ghanaian ambassador a successful tenure in Belgrade, Vucic said he was confident his engagement would lend a new impetus to advancement of bilateral cooperation in the coming period, in the spirit of equality and mutual respect.
