BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Belarusian Ambassador to Belgrade Sergey Malinovsky on Friday to discuss further advancement of bilateral cooperation, as well as important regional and global affairs.
In an Instagram post, Vucic wrote that they had discussed cooperation in education, culture, sports, the economy and other areas of mutual importance, in the confidence that Serbia-Belarus relations, based on traditional friendship, mutual respect and close ties between the two nations, could be developed and strengthened further.
"I thanked Belarus for its decision to participate in EXPO 2027 in Belgrade. I believe the international expo will be an exceptional opportunity to showcase the accomplishments and the potential of participant countries, as well as to share know-how and ideas, forge new partnerships and strengthen international cooperation further," Vucic noted.
The president reiterated his gratitude to Belarus for its principled support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia and noted that he was confident Serbia and Belarus would continue to build relations based on trust, dialogue and mutual interests.
