BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received a farewell visit from Algerian Ambassador to Belgrade Fatah Mahraz on Tuesday and thanked him for his dedicated work and his contribution to strengthening the relations between the two countries, wishing him success in his further diplomatic career.
"Serbia highly appreciates the sincere friendship and years-long cooperation with Algeria, based on mutual respect, trust and traditionally good relations dating back from the era of the Non-Aligned Movement," Vucic posted on Instagram.
He added that they had discussed further advancement of political dialogue and economic cooperation and that he had highlighted the significance of strengthening business ties and assessing new opportunities for investments by both sides, in view of the significant geostrategic positions of the two countries as important regional hubs.
He thanked Algeria for its principled support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
"I am confident that, in the future, too, we will continue to develop overall cooperation in the spirit of the traditional friendship between our peoples," Vucic wrote in the post.
