Milena Mitic assumes duty as Serbia's first-ever resident ambassador to Latvia

RIGA - Serbian Ambassador to Latvia Milena Mitic presented her credentials to Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics on Tuesday, assuming her duty as Serbia’s first-ever resident ambassador in Riga.

"The ceremony at the Riga Castle marked a milestone for Serbia-Latvia ties," read a post on the Serbia in Latvia X account, an official account of the Serbian MFA.

The Serbian embassy in Latvia is Serbia's first in the Baltic region.

A decision to open the embassy was made by the Serbian government in late November.
