US Republican organisation urges Trump to honour Vucic's invitation to visit Serbia

WASHINGTON - Republicans for National Renewal, a US political organisation promoting MAGA ("Make America Great Again") values, has called on US President Donald Trump to honour an invitation from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to visit Serbia.

"President Trump should absolutely visit Belgrade," the organisation posted on its official X account on Thursday.

The post included an excerpt from Vucic's recent interview to Fox News Digital, in which he extended an invitation to Trump to come to Serbia, noting that many Serbs viewed the Trump administration very differently from previous US governments.

"If you ask people in Serbia just to make a comparison between Clinton and Trump's administration, or Democrats to Republicans, you would not believe it. It would be 90 to 10 or 95 to 5," Vucic said in the interview.

"I hope that we will be able to host him (Trump). More people will be ready to greet him and wait for him than he might even expect... I dare to say even more than hundreds of thousands of people," he said.
