BELGRADE - The Serbian Armed Forces are getting stronger and stronger but Serbia's defence capabilities will be bolstered further by the start of compulsory military service in March next year, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Sunday.
"Our army is getting stronger and stronger and we will become even stronger once compulsory military service begins. Therefore, it will bolster our defence capabilities further," Vucic said during a display of new and modernised Serbian Armed Forces equipment at the Batajnica military airport near Belgrade.
"Before that, the bureaucratic procedures will begin, and in March, we will introduce brief compulsory military service that I think will bring good to all men and to many girls, and a much greater sense of responsibility and seriousness, a different outlook on life, and everything else," Vucic said.
