Starovic, van Riet discuss Serbia-Belgium bilateral relations, Serbia's EU accession

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starovic received on Wednesday in Belgrade a delegation of the Belgian federal parliament headed by Chamber of Representatives member Katrijn van Riet to discuss Serbia’s EU accession and bilateral relations between the two countries.

The parties "also exchanged opinions on the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation for the process of European integration and the EU enlargement policy," a government statement said.

"The meeting, which was also attended by Belgian Ambassador to Serbia Frederik Johan R Develter, also looked at the importance of continuing political dialogue and cooperation with the aim of advancing Serbia’s European path and convergence with European standards," it also said.
