So-called "Kosovo Police" detain Serb at Brnjak administrative crossing

ZUBIN POTOK - The so-called "Kosovo Police" detained a Serb man at the Brnjak administrative crossing on Tuesday, after which he was placed in 48-hour custody following a hearing, his attorney said.

Milos Delevic said his client, identified as D V, had been arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offence of "giving a false statement", after appearing before a prosecutor in the capacity as a witness in an investigation of a "war crime against civilians," the RTS reported.

"During the hearing, the prosecutor decided to launch proceedings against D V for giving a false statement," Delevic said.

On Monday, the Pristina authorities placed Kosovo-Metohija Serb Jugoslav Radojevic in one-month custody on suspicion of allegedly committing a war crime.

Earlier, two Serbs from Zubin Potok were also placed in custody after being arrested on suspicion of allegedly committing a war crime.

In a statement, Srpska lista said that, on Sunday alone, several people had been arrested and a series of family homes searched, as well as that women and children had been harassed and citizens threatened with more arrests.

It said the actions represented unprecedented pressure on Kosovo-Metohija Serbs that was clearly aimed at intimidating them and forcing them to move away, especially from the Ibarski Kolasin area.
