Vucic: They will not get independent "Kosovo"

PANCEVO - Serbian Progressive Party leader and President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday he was very concerned over the situation in Kosovo-Metohija but that there would be no independent "Kosovo".

"Today, the Serbs set a June 1 deadline for the harassment and abuse of ethnic Serb citizens to stop. I am very concerned because you never know what new provocation will come from Pristina. But one thing I know - whatever Pristina does and whatever they might pretend to tell it, in the end, Serbia will always be the one to blame because Pristina is their child that they have created," Vucic said at a rally in Pancevo.

"I am afraid we will have to be even firmer and stronger to defend our Serbia. Today, as president of Serbia, I say: do what you want both abroad and here in the country, but I will not let you destroy Serbia, and you will not get an independent 'Kosovo' like you have been hoping - you will have to appoint some other people," Vucic said.
