KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The whereabouts of Dejan Pantic, a former Kosovo Police officer arrested by Pristina on terrorism charges, are still unknown, his brother said on Thursday.
In a statement to the Kosovo Online internet news portal, Sinisa Pantic said his family had not heard from Dejan since the arrest on Saturday and that it was unknown if he had received medication they had sent him.
Dejan Pantic is a serious cardiac patient.
"When I heard the EULEX chief representative say that he does not know where he (Dejan) is or whether he has received his therapy, I was not indifferent to that. What I would like the most is if they would allow us to receive one phone call from him and let him call me as his brother, or his wife or son, whomever he wants to call," Sinisa said, noting that his brother was innocent and should be released.
EULEX chief Lars-Gunnar Wigemark said on Wednesday evening his mission had contradictory information about Pantic and that his whereabouts were still unknown.
Wigemark also said it was unknown whether Pantic had received his medication, handed to the Kosovo Police by EULEX.
