BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Monday she did not believe Serbia's EU integration was under threat any more than it had been before, or any more than the EU integration of Albania, North Macedonia or anyone else in the Western Balkans.
Speaking to the RTS, Brnabic said that, even though she saw no readiness on the part of EU member states to push the enlargement agenda at all, Serbia would continue on its EU path.
Commenting on the pressure on Serbia regarding sanctions on Russia, Brnabic said the unwillingness to impose the sanctions was costly and a source of problems for Serbia, but also in line with all principles respected by the country.
Speaking about EU integration, she said she believed the ball was in Brussels's court "because we have done everything to also open Cluster 3, which is related to the economy, competitiveness and businesses."
"We have done everything and fulfilled everything we needed to and, in its last two reports, the EU has already called on EU member states to open Cluster 3. It has not been opened and there are no further conditions for opening Cluster 3," Brnabic said.
She said that, like in the case of North Macedonia, this was a result of an evident political decision.
"I think that our EU integration is at a standstill thanks to the EU, and not us. Serbia will continue reforms on the European path because it is good for us," Brnabic said.
