Vojvodina assembly dissolved, provincial elections called for December 17

NOVI SAD - The speaker of the assembly of Serbia's northern province of Vojvodina, Momo Colakovic, on Thursday dissolved the legislature and called early provincial elections for December 17.

Ninety-five of 120 assembly members voted in favour of the decision, four voted against and five did not take part in the vote.

The dissolution of the assembly was the sole item on the agenda.

The provincial polls will be held on December 17, simultaneously with early elections for the Serbian parliament and local elections in some parts of the country.
