Dacic: EU should revitalise its enlargement policy

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said on Tuesday the EU should revitalise its enlargement policy and that Western Balkan countries belonged in the EU.

Speaking at the opening of the 23rd Belgrade Economic Forum at Metropol Hotel, Dacic said the enlargement policy had transformed the EU into an important factor in the international arena.

"The EU is present in our region, but we believe it is time to revitalise the enlargement policy. With the Western Balkans, the EU will be even stronger. We do not want another 20 years to go by - we want our European story to become a reality," Dacic said.
