Vucic begins consultations about PM designate

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Monday he had begun consultations with parliamentary parties about naming a PM designate.

In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account, Vucic wrote that he had held discussions with representatives of the Political Struggle of Albanians Continues - Saip Kamberi electoral list and the Russian Party - Slobodan Nikolic list earlier in the day.

Ten electoral lists cleared the electoral threshold in the December 17 parliamentary elections.

Under the Serbian Constitution, after discussions with representatives of electoral lists that have made it into the parliament, the president puts forward to MPs a candidate for PM who can ensure the election of a government.
