Man arrested after killing eight, wounding 13 people near Mladenovac

BELGRADE - Serbian police have arrested a 21-year-old man who killed eight and wounded 13 people in a shooting spree near Mladenovac last night.

The man, identified as Uros B, was arrested in the vicinity of Kragujevac, a source has confirmed to Tanjug.

Using an automatic weapon, he fired at residents of several villages in the Mladenovac municipality.

More than 600 police officers took part in the search for the murderer.

The Interior Ministry has qualified the attack as an act of terrorism.

The people wounded in the shooting have been hospitalised in Belgrade and Smederevo.
