ZAJECAR - Red Star Belgrade won the Serbian football cup by defeating Vojvodina Novi Sad 3-0 in the final in Zajecar on Wednesday evening.

In front of 8,000 spectators at the Kraljevica Stadium, Bruno Duarte opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, Felicio Milson extended the lead for Red Star five minutes into second half added-on time and Aleksandar Katai made it 3-0 from a free kick seven minutes later.

Red Star, who have already clinched their eighth successive Superliga title, thus won their fifth consecutive double and their 29th national cup in club history.

Red Star's cup final victory sends arch-rivals Partizan Belgrade, who are in second place in the Superliga, to UEFA Europa League qualifications, while Vojvodina need a point from the last remaining league game against Partizan at the weekend to secure a berth in the UEFA Conference League qualifications.
