BELGRADE - Austria striker Marko Arnautovic signed a two-year deal with Serbian football champions Red Star Belgrade on Monday.
As a Red Star player, Arnautovic will be wearing the number 89 shirt - a reference to 1989, the year of his birth.
"Red Star is very pleased to announce to the part of the public that supports Red Star that Marko Arnautovic is a new addition to the Red Star squad," said a statement on the club website.
It said Arnautovic's arrival represented a clear signal of Red Star's ambitions in the new season.
"His experience from the top European level, as well as his winning mentality, will contribute to an even stronger Red Star identity both on and off the pitch," the statement said.
Born in Vienna on April 19, 1989, Arnautovic has played for local club Floridsdorfer, and subsequently for Austria Wien, Rapid Wien, Twente, Inter, Werder Bremen, Stoke City, West Ham United, Shanghai SIPG and Bologna.
