Red Star Belgrade draw 1-1 with Celtic at home in UEFA Europa League

BELGRADE - Serbian football champions Red Star Belgrade drew 1-1 with Scottish side Celtic at home in a UEFA Europa League Match Day 1 clash on Wednesday evening.

Substitute striker Kelechi Iheanacho put Celtic in the lead in the 56th minute following a Benjamin Nygren assist.

Red Star equalised in the 65th minute through a Marko Arnautovic goal from close range after a corner kick and a subsequent assist by Franklin Tebo Uchenna.

In the next round of the competition, Red Star face Porto away next Thursday.
