SARAJEVO - The Serbia men's national basketball team beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 74-72 in a 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifying game in Sarajevo on Sunday evening.
Serbia overcame a deficit by winning the fourth quarter 23-14 to secure extremely important points.
Nikola Tanaskovic led Serbia to victory with 24 points, Ognjen Jaramaz scored 15 and Stefan Momirov added 11 points, including two potentially crucial three-pointers late in the game.
Javier Castaneda scored 19 points for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the other Group C game, Turkey defeated Switzerland 85-60 in Fribourg.
Serbia now has two wins out of as many qualifying games.
Four days ago, in the first qualifying round, Serbia beat Switzerland 90-86 at home and Bosnia and Herzegovina lost 93-71 to Turkey on the road.
