GRAZ - Serbian football champions Red Star Belgrade defeated Austrian side Sturm Graz 1-0 away in a UEFA Europa League Match Day 6 game on Thursday evening.
Mirko Ivanic headed the ball home in the 55th minute after a Timi Max Elsnik corner.
In the 52nd minute, Red Star's Nair Tiknizyan had a goal disallowed for an offside position by Bruno Duarte.
Polish referee Damian Sylwestrzak awarded a penalty to Sturm in the 71st minute, but the decision was reverted following VAR review due to a Tomi Horvat foul on Red Star's Tomas Handel.
Red Star now have ten points from six games and are very close to qualifying for the knockout stage.
They next face Swedish side Malmo away on January 22.
