Serbia loses to Chile in Davis Cup

SANTIAGO - The Serbia men's national tennis team lost 4-0 to Chile in a Davis Cup qualifiers 1st round tie in Santiago at the weekend.

In the doubles match, Tomas Barrios Vera and Nicolas Jarry won the decisive third point for Chile by defeating the Serbian pair of Ivan and Matej Sabanov 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday.

Afterwards, Matias Soto defeated Serbia's Branko Djuric 6-7 (2-7), 7-6 (7-4), 10-7 and the last singles clash between Barrios Vera and Ognjen Milic was not played.

On Saturday, Barrios Vera defeated Dusan Lajovic 7-5, 7-6 (9-7), while Milic lost to Alejandro Tabilo 6-7 (3-7), 6-2, 6-4.
