Serbia beat Netherlands at water polo world cup qualifying tournament

ALEXANDROUPOLI - The Serbia men's national water polo team defeated the Netherlands 15-11 (5-4, 2-2, 4-4, 4-1) in a Round 1, Group A match of a World Cup 2026 Division 1 qualifying tournament in Alexandroupoli, Greece, on Monday.

Serbia next face Greece on Tuesday and Hungary on Wednesday.

The best five teams at the tournament will secure berths at the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup in Sydney, to be played from July 22 through 26.
