Red Star beat Napredak on penalties to advance to Serbian football cup semis

KRUSEVAC - Red Star Belgrade are through to the semi-finals of the Serbian football cup after defeating Napredak Krusevac away 4-2 on penalties in the quarter-finals on Wednesday evening.

After a goalless draw at full time, Red Star goalkeeper Milan Borjan saved penalty shots from Dejan Kerkez and Nemanja Djekovic to win the game for the Red-and-Whites, who lifted the cup trophy last season.

The other quarter-final ties - Radnik Surdulica vs Cukaricki Belgrade, TSC Backa Topola vs Novi Pazar and Radnicki Nis vs Vojvodina Novi Sad - are scheduled for Thursday evening.
