Red Star take lead in play-off final series of Serbian basketball Super League

BELGRADE - Defending champions Red Star Belgrade defeated arch-rivals Partizan 89-88 at home in Game 1 of the play-off final series of the Serbian basketball Super League on Monday evening.

At a packed Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, Dejan Davidovac led the scoring for Red Star with 23 points and Yago dos Santos added 18.

Aleksa Avramovic and Danilo Andjusic stood out for Partizan with 20 and 17 points, respectively.

Game 2 of the best-of-three series will be hosted by Partizan at the Belgrade Arena on Wednesday evening.
