Dinar to remain steady, Monday's euro rate RSD 117.5180

The Serbian dinar will remain approximately steady against the euro on Monday and the official median exchange rate will be 117.5180 dinars for one euro, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced in a statement.

BELGRADE - The Serbian dinar will remain approximately steady against the euro on Monday and the official median exchange rate will be 117.5180 dinars for one euro, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced in a statement.

The NBS bought 15 mln euros on the interbank foreign exchange market to curb major daily exchange rate fluctuations, taking the total purchased since the beginning of the year to 2.46 bln euros, while the total sold is 190 mln euros.

The dinar will grow 0.1 pct against the euro m-o-m, rising 0.6 pct y-o-y and compared to the beginning of the year.

The indicative exchange rate against the dollar rose 0.4 pct to 106.3030 dinars for one dollar on Friday.

The dinar dropped 0.1 pct against the dollar m-o-m, declining 4.2 pct y-o-y and 2.7 pct since the beginning of the year.

The dinar hit a new 2019 high against the euro zone currency on October 3 as one euro was exchanged for 117.5102 dinars.

It reached its 2019 low against the euro on January 29, when one euro was exchanged for 118.4940 dinars.
