BELGRADE - Around 60 pct of February and March group arrangements for Chinese visitors to Serbia have been cancelled due to the coronavirus and the Serbian government is preparing a crisis action plan to make up for the resulting financial losses, says Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic.

Chinese tourists are coming to Serbia individually, Ljajic told the RTS Wednesday.

The good thing is that there are still no cancellations for the second half of April, when the majority of Chinese tourists visit Serbia, he said.

"The total losses can only be assessed once the crisis is over," he said.

Quoting figures released by the European Travel Commission, he said Europe would see a 7-25 pct decline in the number of Chinese tourists.
