BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday he was proud of what had begun in Serbia with the signing of a MoU on strategic partnership with the EU on sustainable raw materials and added that it signalled a major turning point and change and that nothing would be hidden from the people.
"We have not been hiding anything, we are working transparently and I am proud of that. I am proud of the project. It is a long way to opening a mine and no part of the procedure will be hidden from our people," Vucic said after the signing of the MoU and a letter of intent at the Palace of Serbia.
"Today, you saw the people who signed the memorandums, it is the creme de la creme of the business industry. When you see the top people from companies, it becomes clear to you that you have brought everyone from Europe to Serbia," he added.
He noted that this day filled him with hope for Serbia.
"This is a turning point and a big change for us, a quantum leap to the future," Vucic said.
"This will certainly bring us at least 6 bln euros in new FDI," he noted.
