Defence minister's Collegium reviews security situation in Serbia, region

BELGRADE - The Collegium of Serbia's defence minister held a session in Belgrade on Thursday, devoting special attention to the current security situation in the country and the region, as well as to infrastructure projects.

The session was chaired by Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic, who was informed by the Collegium members of the level of fulfilment of tasks in their respective functional competences, the MoD said in a statement.

Upcoming plans and priorities in the work of the MoD and the Serbian Armed Forces were reviewed as well, and Gasic issued guidelines to the competent department chiefs regarding coordination and maximising the efficiency of implementation of the set tasks, the ministry also said.
