BELGRADE - Aleksandar Vucic, who heads the Aleksandar Vucic-United Serbia electoral list for the October 25 early parliamentary polls in Serbia, said on Monday evening his political opponents would lose the elections more convincingly than they thought and that nothing would happen on October 25 or 26.
"They will lose the elections with a bigger margin and nothing is going to happen. Things will start to calm down in Serbia and we will have normal political life," Vucic said on a Prva TV talk show in a comment on announcements by some opposition politicians that October 25 and 26 would be like "October 5 and 6."
Slobodan Milosevic, president of the then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, was toppled in a popular revolt on October 5, 2000.
Vucic also said developments in Serbia in the past two years represented revenge against the country for its reluctance to impose sanctions on the Russian Federation.
