Tanjug signs contract with Cyprus's CNA

BELGRADE - Serbia's Tanjug News Agency and the Cypriot news agency CNA on Tuesday signed a contract on inter-agency cooperation.

After signing the contract during a Zoom session, Tacno Director Manja Grcic said cooperation with European and global news agencies was very important for Tanjug.

Tacno is the holder of the Tanjug trademarks.

On behalf of CNA, the contract was signed by its Director George Christodoulides.

"The Cypriot agency is a very important agency for us," Grcic said, noting that she had been trying very hard in the past two years to establish cooperation with all European and global news agencies and that the contract with CNA was a major step forward for Tanjug.

She said she expected good cooperation with CNA and an exchange of information, news and footage.

Christodoulides said he was very pleased the two agencies had signed the contract and noted that it was the first step in their cooperation.

He also said he was very concerned over recent developments in Kosovo-Metohija and for Serbs who lived there, and expressed the hope a peaceful solution would be found soon.
